Aug 17, 2005 Apocalypse A guy who blew his brains out with a shotgun. The reference for this is in the book Death Scenes, in grainy black and white. This is done in oil, 11" by 14". It was at one point slated to be the cover image for the Zombie Apocalypse full length release, who knows if that is still the case. Aug 17, 2005 Hearts Once Nourished... I originally did this as the cover for the new Shai Hulud album, That Within Blood Ill Tempered. The singer came over from Holland, and complained that it represented the concept of the last album too much, and requested I paint a new cover. They told me they would still use this, as the cover for their discography. They have recently broken up, so it might never come out. It features a heart (I used an actual autopsy book for reference) bursting with light. The pins surrounding it are clipped dissection pins. The original is 20" by 20" and done in oil. I recently got an update on this from Matt Fox, and apparently this will indeed be the cover of the new Shai Hulud discography, out on Revelation Records.
